I've been working on this one for a while. It's bone that I jigged on the knife with an 1/8" O1 blade and spring.

All the jigging, engraving and heat treating was done by me. The pins were sculpted with the bone then polished smooth.

7" OAL 3" blade

Bolsters and spring are stainless steel, liner is mill relieved.

Spring and action is pretty strong, I'd say 8 out of 10.

Border inlay is red brass and the scroll spines are copper. The first picture shows the most accurate colors in the engraving.

The bad:
Towards the back, there's a space between the spring and the liners that's wider than I'd like.

On one side the bone cracked while I was putting it together so I grabbed another piece. The second piece must have been from a different part of the bone and has the tiny veins (that don't show up until it's dyed) that the other side does not. I like the look of both but they are not identical, they're noticeably different. The pictures are pretty accurate at showing the difference. Priced accordingly.

I was tempted to not try to sell it because of the bone difference, but the engraving turned out better than I expected so I thought I'd throw it out there.
Thanks for looking. As always, any comments or suggestions welcomed

for being a "mess up/2nd" it looks pretty darn good to me

honestly the engraving is done very well and I'm sure anyone would be glad to own it.

Mike,
Except for the small imperfection Your Folder is actually Very Nice and has a lot going for it.
The price is REASONABLE considering if it was close to perfect would be More $$.
I like how you sculpted the pins with the jigging. Your inlay with two different metals and engraving
adds a ELEGANT look to that handsome jigging. NEAT BLADE and Nice Shaped Handle.
