jigged bone scales question!

hi people, is it possible to use jigged bone for knife scales on a tactical folder like a spyderco gayle bradley or a native 5 ! as i never see them on this kind of folder!only on slip-joint's,i'd like to try on some of my knifes,but before i get the gigged bone ordered i thought i check in to see if its even possible,don't even no if it comes in 1/8 or 3/16'' thickness or not! i have never worked with the stuff before,so i like any info i can get,thank you.
 
I sometimes buy handle material from Knifekits.com. They have a variety of bone scales in different colors, surface textures, sizes, and thicknesses.
