PP is a strong oxidizer, and can cause a fire or explosion if the dry powder is mixed or exposed to many organic things and other chemicals. Store the powder in a tightly closed container, and dispose of paper towels and cloth that were used in clean up properly. Rinsing them out well before disposal is the best way.

Thanks for the WIP, always have liked the look of jigged bone, have done some bone carving and am starting to make some knives. Would like to do some for handle scales and might use it on carvings as well.
(have learned some things about dyeing bone in New Zealand when I started carving over there but never really got around to practicing much)

Yes, I did notice that. Does it matter? Jigged bone doesn't seem like something that is outdated after a few years.

Dumb question but you would want the bone somewhat close to the finished shape correct?

Yes, If it is too thick or not angled correctly the jigging could be sanded away.
