Jim Dunlap Shadow

3.5” inches closed
CPM 154 Steel
Lightning Strike Carbon Fiber

A beautiful piece, featherlight and razor sharp. Very snappy walk and talk, beautiful cut swedge, thin grind and hand rubbed satin. No play at all. Very solid. Has some light marks on the tip of the blade, a touch off centered when closed but no chance of rubbing. Would make an excellent affordable first custom.

First I'll take it in add, $withdrawn shipped, USA only, Paypal as friend, goods add 3%, no trades please!

pics 1,3, and 4 taken by previous owner. I believe I asked for permission to use them when I bought the knife. If I did not, please pm me and I will take more of my own.

I don't know for certain, I would think so with very high grit sandpaper, but I don't know for sure. Maybe somebody else can come in the thread and answer.

Yes, it's possible. Living in the UK I've learnt how to restore brushed and hand rubbed finishes. It does take a bit of practice by hand, you'll probably have to do the whole of both sides as your work will look slightly different to Jim's. You also need to be careful not to blur the transitions from the grind to the flats or the swedge.

If it was me and I lived in the States I would get in touch with Jim. I don't know Jim but I wouldn't be surprised if the cost of him refinishing the blade would not be that much.....

I have taken micron cloth to some of my blades and it does wonders. I imagine it'll take care of it on this blade too.

Just want to say that the pic makes the scratches look worse then they are, you have to turn blade into the light to see them. Anybody who buys this knife from me and is unhappy with it for any reason send it back to me for a full refund.
