How did I miss seeing this one? That is nice Jim. This Girraffe bone is starting to grow on me, may have to try some. That particular peice has an almost Oosic look.

I have a few knives with girraffe bone...the first one I bought several years ago from a So. African maker, Chris Edwards. I had never seen the material before, but Chris said I'd like it and he was right. What struck me was the density of it and yet it can be stained easily. It is a neat, natural material.

Personally I do not like carbon fiber scales...I think it is beacuse I used to be in the business of manufacturing a product from carbon fiber. The dust from cutting and grinding it will ruin any electric motor it touches and I have often worried about the long term effects of handling it.

Do you have a picture looking at top/bottom
profile? Nice- my interest is sparked.

I have one of Jim's knives & it's outstanding. Whoever gets this one won't be disappointed.

heres top bottom and to give you idea of size...on the pic of the top youll see a little bit of the finger groves on the spine.
thanks
Jim
