Jim Smyth • GREAT white 'Shark' !

agree, after looking at it the tip seems blunted and the deep cut outs in the bolster look odd to me. the f&f appears to be excellent.
You may need those deep cutouts for the "sharkfin" opener to work properly. The feature that actually catches my eye the most is the pocket clip. It is fascinating to see something normally so mundane turned into something that looks that cool!!!

I have no idea what you mean by "the deep cutouts by the bolsters". If your refering to the inside of the handle with the blade in the open position, its a relief so you can get your thumb in there to disengage the liner lock. Very common in custon knives. Some guys do them rounded like I do and some do retangular ones. Both are for the same reason, otherwise your thumb would have a hard time sliding it back over. The tip is also not blunted. Its very pointy and very sharp! ;)

Jimbo, I am certain he wasn't used to the deep curve you create for your index finger. The overall profile.

BTW, folks, I never pointed anyone to view Jim's website to see more of his work:

That "fin" is a really neat feature too. What materials did you use, Jim? Is there a version of the knife out there somewhere with black scales? that would make for a very nice contrasting pair:thumbup:

I was talking about the "choil" I guess you would call it. in the photo the tip does look blunted, perhaps it is just a viaual trick from the pic. As we know it is hard to gauge such a knife from pics alone. The workmanship, I know, is outstanding! just the look of the knife differs from my taste and that is fine. I am aware of what a lock bar thumb relief is for. ;)

That knife has "flow" in spades. I like the cut-out/guard for the index finger - it will fit in your hand like it was made to be there.

That is an amazing knife!! WOW!! That is elegant & gorgeous!!! And as usual, another amazing photo from you Coop!!

TKC, this has YOU written all over it. You'd like it, too. :D

BTW, you are the reason I address my posts to 'folks'. Guys is too, uhhhh, chauvanistic... ;)
