Jim Wagner Reality Based Blade by Boker

I agree with most comments posted, I own a plain blade version rather than the fantasy stuff. Worth a look, solid nice blade, only reservation is lack of resistance in opening/closing (not used to it).

Bump: is anybody have experiens with the recurved one? For me it seems like a mutch better EDC blade than the tanto one. Anybody have the recurved one and can give me input about it?

Thanks Ray

I have the recurved version (and the tanto version).
Pretty much the same story with the recurve as posted about the tanto -- it's a nicely made knife for the money. Very, very sharp right out of the box with a strong build and lockback design. Handle is the same as the tanto handle; a bit bulky for my taste. And the recurve is still nasty enough looking that you'd probably get hassled if it was found on you.

Ok but is the blade flat on one side on the recurve blade to or is it like a regular blade?

I have a few of these and the trainer version. I really like the knife, marketing aside. I've carried mine off and on for awhile now and it does work ok for a utility knife, but the "menacing" looks could put people off to it. Heck I've had negative comments about a Benchmade Vex on one occasion. I decided to keep the Boker for a dedicated SD folder instead. I have used the knife in my training and it does cut and stab very well as designed. All 3 of mine were very rough opening when new, and 1 has smoothed out very nicely. A friend of mine took his apart and polished the black coating and writing off the blade and it's super smooth and fast opening, I may do that with one of mine as well since I really don't care for the billboard type on the blade. For the price, I can't really say much bad about it. It's one of those knives you either like or don't I think...

Boker's answer to Dark Ops.:barf:

You know what they say about reality being stranger than...... I want to know what kind of drugs one would need to smoke to envision that knife as being "reality based." A Sodbuster, now to me that's "reality based". The Boker, well, it looks more "mall ninja based" if you ask me.

I give it the 3G :thumbdn:

Yeah, there's something about it.

It's just so blatant and "over the top".

No problem. I'm sure it'll be a good knife. I'd just be very careful about where I carried it.
