Jimmy Fikes - A New Knife from the Forge

Hi guys.
It's certainly good to be back out in the shop again and making a few knives. And it's just as good to be back on the forum and to find out that my work hasn't been forgotten
The last few years have been difficult in the extreme and I never would have made it back except for the unfailing friendship I've found with the folks in the knife community... Win Heger not least. Thank you all so very much.

I am a somewhat newer maker who does stock removal but your work is one of my biggest inspirations. The only two photos to make the background on my computer this year were knives made by you, every day your work is a motivator and inspiration for me.

Here's one from about 6 years ago, very nice one at that! I believe this one still is residing in the Win homestead at this time, caught me at a weak moment a while back when I needed funds...always something!!!

I, myself, am an old fart... but cannot read. I can multiply, however, and the price of that fighter just went up "times two".

Good to see you again. I'm planning on trying a visit to my old stomping grounds out around Greenfield MA next May or June. Not much chance to do it before then and maybe not even then... depends on how well I'm getting around when the time comes
Would be really nice to meet you up that way if you're still going to be in MA.As for Wheeler and his tricks... just be glad ya only got "Nicked".
