JIMMY FIKES HAS PASSED AWAY

from a few months ago:

"When I do kick the bucket, I'm sure the info will spread fast enough. I don't want a ton of people sending well wishes and condolences and that sort of crap while I'm still above dirt. [NN] is my kind of guy in many ways. When I told him I was going to kick the bucket soon, his reply was, "I am sorry to hear of your decline. Life kills us all." If that's not perfect, I don't know what is."

100% Jimmy. he was one of a kind. i miss you, and i will never forget you, old man!

I remember fondly his kindness, his humour and his open mind when we chatted over messages a decade ago. Loved his particular style in the wrapping and the magnolia stamp. RIP Jimmy.
 
another set of giant shoulders for an aspiring knife maker and/or designer to stand upon.
 
I bugged him every year for over 15 years about getting back into making art. I should get in touch with Win again.
