In 1969 Duxbak commissioned Jimmy Lile to produce the first in a series of limited edition general purpose knives to be offered by Utica Duxbak. The Big 7 style from Lile was chosen and designated the Duxbak 100 for this edition. A total of 500 pieces were made and each one was marked Duxbak Style 100, has serial number, and Jimmy Lile's mark engraved on the blade. Handle is Osage Orange with brass fixtures. Brass Duxbak panel is inlayed on one side of the handle. Blade is D2 and is 3 7/8". Overall length is 8 1/2". Tang is tapered and wrist thong is added to the butt of handle. The sheath is Lile's typical ambidextrious style and Oklahoma Leather made this particular version.
Serial number of this set is 256. The original box, sell sheet, registration/warranty card (not filled out), orginal plastic wrap, and some other offers from Duxbak are included in this offer. The knife has never been used, carried, or sharpened. I gently rubbed some of the brass and the blade with a cotton cloth before photographing. There is a patina to some of the brass. It does not appear to have ever been sheathed! The box is in excellent/very good shape with just a couple slightly frayed corners. Outside of box is marked with serial number 256 of 500. This is an all original combination that has been safe stored for who knows how long! Kind of like going back in history and buying your first knife
There is a picture of one of the Lile/Duxbak 100s in the new "James B. Lile" book on page 438. The book in my photo does not come with this knife, for display puposes only! Asking $1450. shipped. PM or email me for more pictures or information.

Cougar3677, your post almost says that all 500 of them were made by Jimmy Lile, and it says they were "offered" by Utica Duxbak. Who actually made the knife and sheath you are offering for sale?
