Not fun for me either. So far I have 63 points, but 86 sitting on the bench!

I'm going to pick my next line up by throwing a dart. Congrats Peter, your screen ain't lying!

Week 13 Wrap Up -

In the every dog has it’s day category, week 13 will live in infamy. In every matchup this week, the team with the lesser record won. It was also a week of higher scores with 6 out of 10 teams scoring 100 or more points.

In one of the most lopsided matchups of the season, the Squad went on a tear putting up 130 points against an ailing Brees that could only muster 59 points. With 74 points from his WR and 19 from Kaep and a nice 16 from his K, it was a good week for the Squad, and he even had a 20 point RB on his bench. Brees left 28 on the bench with Tate, but it just was not enough. Score one for the underdogs.

The Todd Squad 130
Saintly Brees 59

Somebody finally got Beat By a Girl! It took a dominating performance by the Seattle Seahawks, holding Brees to only 10 points in a crushing loss to put the Girl in the win column with 84 points. Her WRs were disappointing , and her TE laid an egg, but the rest of her lineup was enough to get the job done. Jackhammer was right there but he never got that big game out of Breese that he needed. He also left 41 points on the bench in Decker, but all of the Hammer’s WRs did well this week, who would ever guess that Decker would be the star?? Not me…. Score another one for the underdogs.

You Got Beat By a Girl 84
Jackhammer 73

The Badgers handed JnJ his second bad beat in as many weeks on Mo Fo. Down by two points with the highest scoring kicker in the league up against the Badgers stud TE Graham, it was looking like a close one. The only TD of the night for NO came from an improbable rocket thrown between two defenders to Graham. Ugh. To add insult, JnJ could only get 8 total points from his TE, Flex and his Green Bay running back. The Badgers had a good day with the exception of an egg from his GB WR. Three for the underdogs.

The Honey Badgers 100
Joique and Jaquizz 98

In another very close but high scoring affair, the English took out the Dags when RG3 was able to score 22 points in the Sunday night game to take the two point victory for the English. There was not much that the Dags could do, with another good week of picking his starters, with not much left on the bench that could have helped. Underdogs get another win!

Kentucky English 107
Dakota Daggers 105

How does a fellow score 113 points and still lose? It happens when your opponent puts up 123 points in a great across the board performance by his starters. Only the Jabronis K and D scored less than double digits in a week where the Jabronis made all the right decisions, leaving only one point on the bench from a possible D switch. The Dudes had two great QB performances, and he had the right QB in his starting slot, and all he left on the bench was the 8 points he could have gained from putting in the Raiders D instead of the Broncs. Not much you are gonna do about that except take your 4th loss of the season and forge ahead.

Stoney’s Jabronis 123
Socal Geodudes 113

With that we have our playoff matchups set -

ROUND 1 - PLAYOFFS

Stoney's Jabronis (6-7) at Joique 'n Jacquizz (7-6)
The Todd Squad (6-7) at Saintly Brees (8-5)
Jackhammer (5-8) at Kentucky English (6-7)
You got beat By a Girl (4-9) at The Honey Badgers (5-8)
Byes: Socal Geodudes, DAKOTA DAGGERS

Good to all !!

I love an underdog story :)

As do I !

I don't hold any hope of doing anything in the playoffs, but it's been nice to win a few anyways.

Great recap as always!

Congrats to Todd for administering one heck of a thrashing! The one advantage that it gave me was that I was so far behind going into Monday night that I could pull Beast Mode from my starting lineup and replace him with a Saint - which I did. Didn't do me any good as my Saints got thrashed just as badly as I did, but it made me feel better! :D

But wait...
Now I have to take on Todd again? With those same 2 red-hot receivers? Good grief Charlie Brown. Might be a very short lived playoff. Ah, well. It is like in real football. The team with the hot hand in the playoffs usually wins. ;)

Playoff Week 1 Wrap up

Week one is in the books and our top two finishers enjoyed a bye week to get ready for their first venture in to the playoffs. Two of our playoff teams were eliminated, and thus we are down to four.

Toilet Bowl –
In the toilet bowl bracket, The Girl finally came alive, tallying and impressive 102 points to put a spanking on our defending and inaugural champion. Tom Brady scored big, as did Joique Bell, Montee Ball and Brandon Mashall . The Badgers took it in the shorts, with his WR crew combining for only 11 points even adding in the flex position. Jackson did not have a good day and there was just not enough on the table to help the Badgers avoid a drubbing at the hands of the Girl. It’ll make you cry to look at the points on the Badgers bench….

You Got Beat By a Girl 102
The Honey Badgers 77

The Jackhammer beat up on the English with an outstanding performance almost across the board. With Colston on the bench with 24 points, the Hammer could have made it even worse! Our high score for the week at 142, the Hammer is to be commended putting up a stellar score. Unfortunately, his win is just for bragging rights. The English had a disappointing day from RG3, while Luck had 35 on the bench. In reality, even with perfect coaching, with the Hammer on fire there was nothing our English could do.

Jackhammer 142
Kentucky English 75

In the winners bracket, The Todd Squad put up 102 points on the back of LeShawn McCoy and Josh Gordon, with a good showing from Jeffery and Bernard. A pair of goose eggs were not enough to keep the squad from scoring over a ton. Saintly Brees had an unfortunate day with only his K and one RB scoring in double digits, thus eliminating him from the running to be our 2013 Champion.

The Todd Squad 102
Saintly Brees 68

The other side of the winners bracket saw the Jabronis put up 133 points on the hapless JnJ, who could only ,muster 76 points. With the Chiefs D scoring 23 to tie with Phil Rivers for high slot score, and very nice days out of everyone except the K, the Jabronis advance to the second round of the playoffs on a tear.

Stoney’s Jabronis 133
Joique and Jacquizz 76

Our top four teams are the advancing #5 and #6 seeds, having knocked out the higher seeds in both preliminary matches. Waiting in the wings are our #1 seed, Socal Geodudes and #2 the Dakota Daggers.

Good luck to our winners bracket folks for the second round of the playoffs. John and I discussed the winners knife today, and he is ready to make the 2013 knife up in the color preference of our new champion, once crowned.

Thanks for the wrap up Andy. I knew my team had it in them, too bad they waited this long but hey, it was a blast and I'm looking forward to next season with you guys.

What can I say, we sucked all season, why break a losing habit, I like to end things on a note of complete disappointment, keeps me hungry :)

next year though, next year will be different, can't wait! :D

The Badgers go down in flames...Well, it was fun anyways, congrats to the teams that are advancing!

Playoff week 2 Wrap Up

In the Consolation ladder, the Girl took it to the Jackhammer,
putting up over a ton and stringing together her best winning
streak of the year at two games in a row. In the end it was just too
much BradyJacksonMarshallJennings to overcome.

You Got Beat By a Girl 101
Jackhammer 73

The Badgers wound up with an egg from Shorts who was on IR, and put up only 50 points to fall
to the English, who put up 95 points with points spread as evenly as vegemite on bread.

Kentucky English 95
The Honey Badgers 50

In the winners consolation bracket (it was no consolation I can tell you...), Saintly Brees
kicked JnJ in the pants with 38 out of Foles (!) and very nice scoring out of his
skill positions for a total of 138.

Saintly Brees 138
Joique and Jaquizz 105

In the winners bracket, It was the Jabronis putting up 121 points to beat our 1 seed the Dudes,
who could only muster 100 points on the week. Just a good week for the Jabronis and a disappointing
performance out of several players for the Dudes.

Stoney's Jabronis 121
Socal Geodudes 100

On the other side of the bracket, the Daggers rode Smith and Charles to an impressive 168 points to
set up our Championship Matchup, with the Squad ending a very nice run on a sour note.

Congratulations to the Dudes and the Squad for making it this far.

It will be fun to watch the championship game next week to determine our 2013 JK FFL Champion and more imporantly what color the liners and scales
will be on the 2013 knife.

best
