JK Hatchet & Gathering Goodies

I like the looks of this, especially after looking for a small hatchet. Very nice :thumbup:
 
Thanks jds1... now you made me go an order one for myself. Had to get one with orange g10 to pair up with my Busse OJ Game Warden. It's gonna be a good Christmas.

Yeah, nobody really got to handle that thing much at "The Gathering"! He wouldn't let go of it for very long at a time and if he let you handle it, he didn't get very far away and his eyes were always on that hatchet! Ha! Ha! I can't blame him though, that thing is sweet, and it does feel really good in your hand! Nicely balanced! I can hardly wait for January to get here! I really liked the photo of it laying there with the cover on it. John did a nice job of that too! I am a big fan of keeping things simple! I think that the simpler things are the better they are. John keeps things simple, and everything he has made for me so far, knives and sheaths, have just been fantastic!

Thanks Jeff, for sharing all the photos with us! Those turned out really good for being by yourself. That is a hard thing to do when you are by yourself! I found that out when I had the kitchen/camp set!

Nice! I'll have to remember to post a review of mine. What's the steel hardened to on the RC scale on these things?

I'm thinkin so too. I was looking at the Gransfors but your point about being able to baton a solid hatchet really made sense to me. I got mine a little longer too. It'll be perfect for my pack I EDC. Plus I think it'll be lighter than my Estwing I currently pack and probably out perform it by a good bit.
