JK Hatchet in Action

Great pics and it looks like you guys had a great time. I keep telling myself not to buy that hatchet but every time I see it I want one. My next order from John WILL be a hatchet with a matching Scout Jr.

D@mn you John... Can you start making all your knives ugly and crooked or something please?? :)

You should get in on this, and save $25 off the price of the knife.

Hi C Bryant -

Nice sheath for the JK Hatchet! I like the way hoopster made that - very nice!

Also love the taco-wrap for the 'zula - very nicely made!

Thanks for the pictures and bumping up the thread, as I had not seen it before.

best regards -

Thanks again Hoopster, great work on my favorite piece of cutlery!

(sorry for the crappy pics, I couldn't wait until daylight)

No problem, I enjoyed giving the hatchet some proper clothes. I only wish I hadn't kept you waiting so long. BTW, you're pictures are a lot better than mine. Then again, most pictures are.

All in all, it looks like it worked out pretty well for you. That`s a pretty good sized log! I`m glad to see you giving it a workout. Plus, it`s a rare model, only 3 made!

C Bryant, you are a man after my own heart. Only 3, 3!!, of these in the whole wide world, & you are out with it chopping away in Mother Nature . . . :)
I love it . . . That's what cutting tools were made for. Good shots of the get-together, looks like that thing can hold it's own when it comes time to do some work. Good snag.
Be safe.

Thanks! Yes, this hatchet is the best damn hatchet of it's size I have ever owned. It is bomb proof, sharp, and holds a great edge. I think I have maybe stropped it once. I have never needed to sharpen it.
