JK Kephart & kit knife - 6 mo check-up

Jez KGD, that was much more than I asked for, Awesome! thank you very much.:D

Btw, that buck looks like its had some attention, good on ya'!

Kurpted - beginnings of a stir fry.

Fonly - yes the 119 was my first 'real knife' and also the first one I learned how to sharpen on. So it has some funky recurve action going on it now.

KGD, great review! I especially liked the fact that you did a 6 month review  Good to see a user's impressions after owning and using a knife for a little while (as opposed to thoughts upon receipt).

Nice review, k. I'm starting to think "any excuse to cook up some grits" eh?

You mentioned about problems choking up on the 119. I never seem to have a problem with that, perhaps because all my earlier knives had substantial guards and I just learned to adapt. Something to check out, though, when and if you make it down here.

Great review Kgd. Thanks for the head-to-head with the Buck 119 as well. That is a great test to show what it is capable of, imo, as most people have the 119.

Good choice pimpnugget - you won't regret your decision!

I probably watch to many horror movies but , for all camping ,hunting and general use, I prefer a fixed blade with a finger guard. I just get chills up my spine when I think of my hand slipping down that wicked edge.It could happen so easy when your mind is on something else or when your cold. Man ,That would ruin my day. Thats why I like the Buck 119 .
