The 2012 JK Knives Fantasy Football League is a GO!!

The rules:

We have a free league set up on ESPN. You will use that web site for all stats and trades etc.

There will be a $15 entry fee that will go to John. The winner will get a knife from John in their choice of NFL team colors for the handle scale. The knife style is to be determined.

We have Spark's permission to run this - let's keep it in the JK Subforum to respect the BladeForums solicitation and spam rules please!

The Draft will be held at noon Eastern time on Sunday Aug 19 - so we have to get cracking on filling out the teams!!

I suspect that this will be a fun league more than a cutthroat kill-em league - it would be a cheap way to get stuck in and see how it all works.

I would be willing to help you out - and for $15, most people who will admit that it is as much luck as anything to be successful - so in short, we would be happy to have you on board and assist.

It's amongst friends. You could even get your winning knife made in your favourite Soccer League Team ;^)

Ok folks - I only have three teams joined up - KYe, PG and ME -

We still need JackHammer and TPVT to join via the invites - and we have to have 10 teams to have a draft -

If it's the $15 that is holding anyone back - just join and we'll work it out.

Many of you JK Followers don't allow PM's - so I was not able to let you know about his personally - Mr. Sogetsu, outdoorsfan, darkmatter, Rockywolf, 1066vik, mykel m, fmendez, tlovesknives, Taht's ..... - many others -

I've never done a fantasy anything. Will it take alot of my time? I guess I'd be willing to give it a shot.

Hi Glenn -

No worries - last year I ran a league so my wife and son could play - I have been playing for many years and Maggie stomped us all - it is all about luck and picking people who don't get hurt - of course you can spend as much or as little time as you want on it -

Essentially - have a team where every player is at least eligible to play each week and you'll be ahead of the game.

We are doing a live ESPN snake draft - we all get online at ESPN and you'll have 90 seconds to make your selection as it rolls around -

I have never done one like this - so it will be a learning experience -

Once we are all drafted and everyone is settled it we'll work out how the $15 will be arranged - this is really for fun, but it's cool to have an interesting knife on the line at the end!

My wife Maggie can take a slot if need be - but be forewarned - she is serious as a heart attack and she'll take us out - so let's get this thing filled out before The Maginator has to join lol -
