It's funny John how many people, on other forums as well, see the Kephart roots in your Hiker 4-inch. Jeff H was the first to coin that phrase.

Email sent with address. And I too noticed the kephart roots in the 4" hiker. That's why I think the 4" hiker will be first on my list. I love that design...

I couldn't wait - I ordered one. That Kephart influence got me. Then someone goes and posts pics of a "real" Stomper Kephart with Black Micarta!

Good thing I jumped on the 4" Hiker or I would STILL be trying to make up my mind!

Don't worry though, I won't open mine until after I get the passaround and post my review.

Yep, I'm on the fence too. I'm gonna wait until my turn in the passaround before deciding. Maybe handling a few of his other knives will shed some light on which one to get. I'm pretty sure I'd be happy with either.
