I`ve set a new goal for myself, lets see if it works out. On the 15th of each month, my plan is to post knives for sale, without sheaths, for immediate delivery. (if a sheath is desired, it will take one week extra) These knives might be an existing model, or something entirely new, whatever I`m in the mood to make. These knives will be posted for sale here for one day, then I will post them in the exchange. If they do not sell in one week, they will be removed, and set aside for possible future sales. Let`s hear your thoughts, good or bad.

I think it's a very god idea, not just for cash but to catch someones eye who maybe is more likely to bee looking over the exchange, I know some folks only really go to the exchange (or at least seen some who have said so in posts), like you say even if something doesn't sell first time out at east if one sells now and again it's doing something :)

besides it'll keep you busy and out of trouble :p

I think it's a great idea. Many of us are impulse buyers. If someone has to wait 2 months for a knife, there's plenty of time to back out. Then there's the people like me that just get that itch for a new blade once in a while and you'll be able to scratch it for them. Unless it itches somewhere weird, then just forget it...

This is a great idea.

Like Jeff said, not everyone wants to wait a couple months for a custom blade.

By doing this it will make it easier for folks to experience the wonders of JK O1 without having to watch it creep up the list of Knives on Order.:D

yup. i agree with what has already been said. good idea, and i will be keeping my eyes peeled.

I agree with all the positive responses above. And if you do post a new design for sale, mark it with a "1". ;)

Jeff

Great idea, Im an impulse buyer sometimes, if the right knife catches my eye on the right day.... Whammo!

Good idea, but why not give your loyal JK clan first shot.....say post it here for 2-3 days before it hits the exchange.
Just a thought.

Sounds good, those impulse and don't like to wait buyers could snatch up a knife without waiting. Maybe post up a Kephart or two since it's your most sold model.

Great idea!! I also have noticed other makers doing the same, and it gives others a chance to get a great knife when they are cruising your site. I like the thought of getting at it here first before the exchange.

I think that would be great. I'm always curious to see what knifemakers come up with if they can just make what they want. Looking forward to it...

Yup, Great idea.
Andy has Fiddleback Friday and Dylan started Maniac Monday, So there are still some days left.
Although it will be torture for those of us who have a limited knife budget, But what the heck, I can take it.
I think.:(;)

The first knife is done, but you guys will have to wait a couple of weeks before you can see it. It`s a new model, stamped with a 1, and has bocote handles.

Just put the first coat of oil on the handles, this might be my new favorite wood!

Hi John -

I don't understand why you would only put knives up for a week -

The first rule of fishing is to keep your lure wet.

I would keep a couple up for sale all the time. I would also make knives that I am more sure that would sell - Kepharts, Campers etc.

You know what sells, and what designs take longer to find a buyer.

I have noticed that the chisel ground blades take longer to find that "right buyer".

Those are my thoughts, since you asked ;^)

best
