JK / Protourist Big Mack Cutlass w/Snakewood scales!

The thing that's scary to me about it is the fact that cameras rarely do a wood justice. As great as it looks in the pics, I must assume that it looks even better in person. That is scary.

yes, cameras rarely catch beautiful wood,,, seeing that snakewood in person may well cause temporary blindness!

Everytime I look at this I get a bad thought. I keep thinking of the perfect Camp / Kitchen Set, consisting of the following, all with matching handles:

Cutlass (carving knife)
Improved Bowie ( boning knife)
Potawatomi (personal steak knife)
Serving fork (I made these with the old BBQ Set)

What the heck, toss in a 1/8" thick Knatchet for a cleaver!

Doing a bit of research this morning on testing the limits of JK O1 knives and came across this old thread. Giving it a bump to show off, yet again, a beautiful JK knife and a protourist design (Mack, no doubt in my mind - I'm a big fan of your knife designs :)).

I like your "Camp / Kitchen Set" idea John though I'm afraid that I could not afford it, I wouldd be very happy to receive such a gift - my birthday is this month :D. Have you made such a set?

I've read the snake eye has some issues with shrinkage (don't we all?) but I think this cutlass would be a beauty with handles made out of old paper bags. It's that pretty! It is on my list - maybe early 2015.
