The Roach Belly is by far one of the most under-rated of the traditional patterns. John made this one in 1/8" O1, with a 4 1/2" cutting edge and an overall length of 9". The scales are of torched maple and there are three brass 1/8" pins. VERY comfortable handle on this one... it feels like your favorite kitchen knife, and slices as well too. This one has had kitchen duty a few times in the last week. Works great on all types of meat & veggies. The balance point is at the first pin, so this knife just hangs in your hand perfectly balanced with your index finger against the drop. The sheath has a nice "old-timey" feel with the copper rivets. I think this will make a great camp knife. Here's a glamour shot. Thanks John.

I like any knife that gets my knuckles up off the cutting surface. That is a GREAT looking one.

One of my all time favorite patterns. Looks like you have a nice one there. Very traditional looking.

Looks like that would be awesome for the kind of food prep I do. Not sure how it would work for anyone else, but the only things I could up I like to roll the cut. Cool beans.
