Its a good day when the postman has something worthwhile to deliver. And today he did, in the form of a Stomper Kephart and Mini Kephart. Now being that I have seen J. Williams review of the Standard Kephart. I though I would put the mini through a few tests, and see how it faired.

My first impressions of the knife was it felt well made, solid, and good in the hand with a nice sharp edge to it. Now Im no good a sharpening anything but a convex, so it may be something I change on at least one of the knives.

I first batoned the knife through some wood, first something small, then something a little larger, large enough anyways that just a bit of the tip was sticking out. Within a few minutes I had some good kindling.

Next up was some food prep. It sliced the potato so thin I could make chips. Onto some thing more delicate were strawberries. I like this test because it, like tomatoes, tests the edge of the knife.

J they are both 1/8 thickness. The mini is 5 1/2 OAL the blade is 2 1/2". It's a great little knife. Now I want to get the Kephart shorty you got.

I just got back from my trip and saw your review. I`m really pleased you like this one.

John

That looks like a really well engineered little knife. A perfect EDC by the looks of it!

stomper I first thought it was just gonna be a little too small but boy was I wrong it fits great in the hand. And after all the hard pounding through dead dry hard oak it was unphased.
