JMD vs RMD

noice apophis! lovin that LE, but i just asked the mrs and its official, im gettin a RMD, she picked the color combo for me, i'll post pics as soon as its here. i feel my pockets becoming lighter already lol

Choil is way nicer feeling on the Beefy than the RMD. I'll sell both my RMD's long before a Beefy, I finally just scored a second and already made it a bruiser in the garage. :) I hear some gals believe another 3/4" would be a much needed improvement... :D In this case I agree. ;)

For some reason and I dont know why I am very much drawn to the Beefmandus. Normally I hate owning two things that are as similar as the RMD and the Beef but I dont know what it is about the Beefmandu it just says you need me now!!

They are not similar at all in hand, the RMD feels like a little knife and the BMD feels like a go to hell and back do it all utility shank with perfect balance. So don't put one in your hand or it will only get worse... and they aren't that easy to find. The best feeling 6" blade I have, period, even over the previous holder of that title, the SAR6, though it is very close. :) A guy would need .03" thick liners on both sides of the handle on the JMD in order to replicate the BMD handle feel. I have a BIG INFI RMD with slightly thinner liners that feels ok, but the standard thickness handles leaves something lacking on the thin stock RMD's I have held and sold off. The difference doesn't sound like much, but your hand will let you know. I'm going to try out the JMD to see how it compares and if I have to, I will add my own liners now that I have tackled my first handle job with decent success. I went with canvas handles to keep the balance lighter with the thinner blade and I am sure Jerry got the balance just right anyway, he is good at that.
