SOLD Here is a Handsome Jigged Bone Large Coke Bottle Slipjoint from Joe Allen. This giant slipjoint features a fantastic hand rubbed ATS-34 (marked on reverse) blade with the swedging we all love and want. It is wicked sharp too with incredibly symmetrical grinds. The backspring is flush in all three blade positions. The backspring is a nice happy medium--not too hard or too easy. The blade is well, if not, perfectly centered. No problems anywhere. MINT/UNCARRIED or USED-- AS RECEIVED FROM THE MAKER. Has been in my collecton for 1 year and only removed from it's zipper pouch occasionally to admire.

The scales have that vintage look and the coloration is reminiscent of late 60's to early 70's Case knives

The unique shield is nice take off of a classic style and is double pinned to the liner.

Joe has worked quite a bit under the guidance Tony Bose and the influence is obvious on the blade grind as well as the attention to detail. Joe consistently makes the best nail pulls I've ever seen! This knife also has a milled/relieved liners and 410 Stainless bolsters and liners. Great fit in the hand. Joe's work is among the best and the price is right too. A whopping 5 1/2" Closed, and 9 9/16" open. Although this knife would make a great center piece or display knife for your collection, it is also built to be used.

SOLD shipped paypal only -- fee included. Find anyone anwhere that would make a whopper in a price range like this!!! International okay, but add $25 for shipping and understand I have no control once it leaves the U.S. Joe's wait time for orders is out several months now and Joe has said that he would charge quite a bit more if he remade this pattern. According to Joe, this knife spent a little in Tony's shop with some direct and hands on guidance, and I'm sure Joe would verify that. Easily the nicest knife I've ever had from Joe, and I've had about a dozen!

First one to say they want it gets it. Respond by PM, Post or Email. Email responses intermittent through the work week. To avoid any hard feelings the first "I'll take it" supercedes any pending questions, offers or expressions of interest.

Thanks for looking

Will consider trades for smaller custom slipjoints (3 1/2" closed and under)--particular interests include other Joe Allen knives, Alsdorf knives, Erickson and Ray Cover knives. Will consider others too
