If you are not familiar with Joe Calton knives, he forges his 52100 blade from 1" bars and heat threats them using Ed Fowlers method. The blade is differentially heat treated
and tripple tempered.

This particular knife is a bit different from what he making at the time. The blade is 3/16" thick just in front of the guard and tapers to the point. It is 4 1/4" long and 1" wide.
THE OAL is about 8 3/4"

I am calling it a user because I used it to cut some 1" Manila rope and I touched up the edge on some 1200 grit paper. There are some very fine scratches near the edge.
I think that you can see them in the photos.
