Joe, change to 420HC?

Joe may be able to give you more detail or even correct my answer but I believe the switch to 420HC occurred in 1994. It is very likely that it happened over a bit of a time span across the model line as old blade inventory was depleted. In other words, it probably did not happen all at once for every model. Until Joe weighs in with a better answer, I trust this will help.

As usuall, you are right on the money with your answer! Some models may have been made with 425mod for several years after the change because of a large inventory of finished blades.
