Joe Hoover SOUK in 1/4" thick 1095 steel with linen micarta scales and kydex sheath. $ 128.00 TYD
By Joe's description - "SOUK or Special Operations Utility Knife was designed as a back up or primary utility knife for military, law enforcement personnel or the civilian that likes a tactical style knife."
This is a heavy and very rugged small knife (1/4" thick) not so much a slicer as a steel busting tactical tool.
THIS KNIFE IS SPARINGLY USED AND WELL CARED FOR It was was purchased by me directly from the maker. It has been lightly used as a camp knife - not tactical camping - and no field dress work, as it is not at all suited to that.
The blade has been resharpened by me and will come sharp.
The photos will show the evidence of use with some blemishes in the steel that were original to the knife.
The Kydex sheath, made by me, is set up with a multi position carry clip for an 1-1/2" wide belt.
The specs as detailed by Joe Hoover:
Steel- 1095 X 1/4 inch thick
OAL- 8 1/4 inches
Blade- 3 1/2 inches tip to plunge
Grind- Flat with false edge and serrations
Finish- Satin flats with polished convex edge
Tang- Full tang was drilled with a pattern of holes for better knife balance, this balances on the forefinger.
Handle- 4 1/4 inches
Scales- Black linen micarta left grippy
Hardware Stainless Corby Rivets and stainless lanyard tube
