If you shoot the little forkies, they will never have the chance to grow up. You gotta let that one pass for a couple years.

I wish that 105 was mine. It belongs to a guy who was actually working at Buck when they were made in the early 1960's. White melamine handled, barrel nut with leather handle spacers.

Forgot what the thread was supposed to be about but here is a picture of an early 105...

So now I gots lots of friends! Probably be asking me for money any minute now....;)

Joe,
My dad gave me a 105 from about that era, with that sheath, but the plain scaled version, when I was about 12 years old (a long time ago) I sure wish I had that knife now.

I sure wish I had your knife now, too... :)

I got mine in '66 when I turned 16, along with that Ithaca Mod 37 w/26" barrel...The Ithaca was from my dad, the 105 from my mom...I thought the sheath was tan, though (or neutral, or whatever the natural color is called)...Did Buck offer a tan sheath in '66??? The shotgun was used; the 105 may have come from the same owner...and I don't recall the sheath saying "Buck" on it anywhere...

BTW: Since I won't be buying any Custom Shop knives, I went down to the local artillery store today and bought that $199 Ithaca 12 ga...with the 26" Imp Cyl barrel... :D

sounds like a Grouse gun to me.

Could be...I think it will knock over a rabbit...I love rabbit...Broiled slowly, basted every half-hour with butter...in an aluminum foil tent...remove the tent for the last half-hour... :p

(BTW: According to the online guide, the serial number on this Ithaca 37 makes it 58 years old...)

I've always preferred #9 shot for rabbit...I never seem to bite into that size...

Any-way...

Joe Houser now has 9 friends...1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9...Nine friends!

CJ still has no friends... :(

(Chickentrax has no friends either, but he never figured on winning any popularity contests...) :D

Hey, I wonder how much a 110NS S30V with Jacklope scales would cost???

Dang, doesn't it make you feel just all warm and fuzzy and make chills run up and down your spine. :) :)

This place is more addictive that a crack house on payday.
