Just to reiterate, I consider myself incredibly loyal to Buck, especially with Schrade USA long gone. The entire reason of sending the knives in was in response to Joe's comment (passed via email to Plumbrdv and reposted) that perhaps people were just sitting on knives that weren't performing instead of sending them in. I want and hope the knives to help shed light on any issues. Selfishly, I want any issues in the design addressed. I have a back log of gifts to buy. Buck is the only US made knife I care to give but really want to give them in confidence.
 
Pinnah - I hear what you are saying, and I too think Buck is a GREAT company. That IS why when I have been less than happy with buying their products, I felt they would want to know about it?

Instead, it has resulted in my buying predominantly the vintage Bucks that I can hold BEFORE buying.
