Joe Paranee fighting Bowie in Ironwood

Nice job as usual... while i can't possibly get anything to look that clean, do you suppose i could find out where you got that wood? That stuff is outstanding!

Congrtas to Doug and, of course, you for another fantastic Bowie.

Beautiful work - this one and the Hawaiian Mango fighter (different thread).

Doug, heartfelt congratulations.

Nick makes an exceptionally fine knife, just about every time, and when one is designed so cleanly and functionally superior, while being equally appealing aesthetically, you have a recipe for awesomeness.

There are a lot of people who THINK that they can design a functional knife.....and they can to some degree....but designing a functional knife that is also sexy and breathtaking to behold is much more difficult, as we see so frequently on BladeForums.

Enjoy your new beauty in the best of health and happiness!

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

What they ALL said!!! And then some...

Like your Mango flavoured one, the Ironwood is an exemplary example of that kind of wood! And since I'd never seen Mango wood, apparently, the fact that you have put some amazing examples of different handle material on two nearly identical knives is just an awesome example of some mad skills, Nick!!!

Now... didn't one of these two threads mention Koa??? My ultimate favorite wood??? To see a set of triplets of nearly identical awesome blades with different handle material is something to behold!

As always, Nick - amazing work!

Beautiful knife. Congrats to the maker and soon-to-be owner!:thumbup:

Congrats Doug!!! Great Ironwood makes a superior knife design look fantastic. Nice work, Nick!

Hello!

Doug, congratulations on a wonderful piece that was more than worth the wait! :) STeven summed up my thoughts exactely, sexy AND functional (as is typical for Nick)!

Great on all accounts, Doug, Nick and Joe!

All the best,
Alex
