I'm excited to have been able to participate in this project and owe a big thank you to Joe, and Paul, and Jason for bringing this all home.

I don't know that I have the vocabulary to describe thrill and feeling of being able to handle, let alone posses a creation like this. Seems to tap into something primordial for me. So I'll leave it at that. Jason truly has the vision and skills when it comes to a creation like this.

Paul's beautiful sheath, not to mention his incredible professionalism, and great personality, to boot, really solidifies and completes this package. His addition of the elephant skin panel and strap was a very pleasant surprise. Such skills and creativity! It is always a pleasure. Thank you Paul.

And as always, a huge thank you to Joe for making projects like this possible.

Now, I just need to develop the photography skills to complement these works. The first three pictures were taken by Paul (probably the best of the lot) and used with his permission.

Thank you for looking. Mike

I'm so happy you managed to get in on that project, Mike. The whole kit is just SO choice. Dig it!!!

We have very similar taste Mike. Very cool work by Jason and Paul. Congrats.

Awesome, Mike, Congrats !
You elevated it by getting it dressed by Paul Long.

Doug

I am envious! Such a sweet piece of kit.

Great looking blade, what steel it is?

You know, I'm going to have to dig into that. It's been awhile since the start of the project and I don't know that we/I ever discussed it much. It may be announced in one of Joe's Blade 2015 Diskin videos. I'm kind of wanting to say 5160 but I don't know for sure. If not 5160 then maybe 52100 or W2. I'll let you know when I get it. If anyone else knows for sure, please chime in. A responsible owner would know:confused:, so I'd better find out.

Thank you Ben. I certainly do appreciate just about everyone of your designs. Thank you Doug and Lorien - much appreciated.

I don't spend a lot of time in the woods these days but it will definitely see some use - if for nothing else, just to play.

Thanks all. Mike

Not an issue Joe. Like the master of our martial arts organization said many years ago about enlightenment; something like "once you're there, it doesn't matter how long it took."

I'm truely happy with this knife and the sheath Paul was gracious to make for it. I'm most grateful for your efforts to bring projects like this to life. Mike

And thank you Bigfattyt. Mike

Beautiful sheath and blade. The bold sheath really compliments what is (to me) the epitome and indeed the pinnacle of the custom Khukuri design.

Great photos and a stunning knife..... one day soon mine will be ready, pictures like this are so frustrating!:p
