Joe Paranee / Jason Knight Khukuri Project, Paul Long Sheath

Wow. Absolutely stunning. Every inch of the blade and sheath are flawless.

I'm still drooling over the Lurquin Tsavo Joe P. posted awhile back but it looks like I'll be putting a new screen saver on my computer.
He is great at getting these projects off of the ground.

Thanks again everyone for the great comments. It is appreciated. Mike

Such a great result. This was an awesome project. Paul's sheath with the elephant addition is just fantastic. Quite the package!

Not being nit-picky....and this is a new steel to me...but I believe Jason used 80CRV2 for this project. It has been called 5160 on steroids. Higher carbon content than 5160 and greater wear resistance. Should do serious damage if we can find one that has been put to the test.

Thanks for sharing, Mike!

Thanks for that, Joe.
I'll give Jason a call tonite, not that I don't believe you,
I gotta' call him anyway about a project we're working on.

Doug

Perfect. Thanks so much Doug. I appreciate it. These days the old brain will take whatever help it can get. I'm writing "5160" down now. Mike
Get out your eraser and write 80CRV2, Mike, we're lucky Joe sounded off. :)

Just got off phone with Jason and it is indeed 80CRV2, Joe.
Thanks !
Already edited and corrected my earlier post.

80CRV2, well that's pretty exciting. I've been hearing good things about it. Thank you Doug and Joe. I appreciate the effort, updates, and nice comments. I'm now writing "80CRV2" down.

I believe the steel was Knightanium, correct me if i'm wrong :p

Thanks so much for sharing. Love the direction you went with the sheath too. I wonder how many more are left.
