Beautiful shobu zukuri tanto for sale. The hamon is very very nice with lots of activity. Razor sharp. No rattle in saya. Joe's work is just great and value for money.

Specs:

Blade Steel...1080, hand forged, water-quenched
Saya...........Plush lambskin leather covered poplar, ebony fittings, steel hanger-ring
Tsuka..........Black Lacquered rattan-wrapped poplar core. ebony fuchi and kashira
Habaki.........Antiqued copper, cat-scratch pattern
Blade Thickness..7/32"
Blade Width.......1.120"
Nagasa.............6.25"
Overall Length....11.25"

Asking for $xxsoldxx, express shipping and paypal fee included. This is a good value for a true custom, one-off piece...no two are alike. Joe isn't taking any orders presently.

Here are some (borrowed pics from Joe)...I couldn't get proper lighting to show off the hamon, but it's obvious...

Saint,
sorry, can't do trades. I overspent to compensate for not being able to be at Blade....so need to pay the price....I assure you that you will be very impressed and happy with the tanto tho'.....

If I didn't already have another of Joe's blades and my huge debt....I would keep it!

This is a true tanto/sword....no secondary bevel......and with a full polish on it....the tsuka is a take down tsuka and very tight (read: good!). I'm not sure it has a signed tang as I did not disassemble the tanto (yet!).

Let's do $xxsoldxx shipped, fee included to move this quickly.

thanks for looking.
