Guy listed a knife for sale at $305. He listed the price as "firm", but I've bought plenty of things for below their "firm" price in the past so I sent him an offer of $275. Here's his response:

He found my offer insulting. Money seems a strange thing to be insulted by. A simple "No" would've sold the knife. I'd already decided to pay him the $305 if he turned it down, but figure I better not risk further interaction. He might be offended by my address or request for tracking...

I'm sure he's probably fine to deal with in regards to shipping, ad accuracy, etc. Just don't bother with haggling attempts or you'll upset @John A Agatucci and his delicate sensibilities.

I'm surprised you switched this from BAD to Mixed so quickly! Frankly I agree with the sellers sentiment and do not see how his private response warrants a feedback thread.

I never intended it to be "bad". Didn't notice I'd hit the wrong one until it posted.

You'd not like to know an attempt at haggling will offend the other party? Fair enough. We'll let it drift down the list then.
