This is a one-of-a-kind, handmade knife by South African maker John Arnold. It is technically "used" though this only includes carrying while in its pouch and sharpening the blade to a VERY sharp convex edge. The action on the knife is extremely smooth as it uses the IKBS system (in fact, it's akin to the smoothness one feels in an Andre Thorburn knife - a maker that has practically perfected IKBS), there is no blade play, and lock-up is rock solid.
The blade is a stainless Damascus forged by Rob Thomas (one of the top forgers of Damascus in the world)
The bolsters are a stainless engraving by Julien Marchall (one of the top knife engravers in the world)
The handle material is stabilized Mammoth molar that exhibits beautiful color complexity and differentiation.
Blade length: 3.5 inches
Total length: 8.5 inches
Knife weight: 5.8 oz.
The knife includes a protective pouch and a certificate of authenticity from the Blade Gallery where I purchased it.
Price: $SOLD (via Paypal, as "goods" - only means of payment). I will cover first class shipping and appropriate insurance. Contact me via PM or email: fowlerds@gmail.com Feel free to contact me and ask any questions you like.
This is a great knife, but my collection is quite large and I sell it only to fund a family trip. I sell this particular one due to the fact that my collecting is gravitating more towards ~3 inch blades.
