I read several (most?) of the TS Jr books when I was a kid. I owned one of the originals at one time. Found it at a flea market in Michigan IIRC. I never heard of Tom Swifties. Those are so bad they're funny 😃

Something that I didn't know until yesterday is that the taser was originally called TSER for Tom Swift Electric Rifle, an invention in the 1911 novel Tom Swift and His Electric Rifle; the "a" was inserted later to make it easier to pronounce (and I suspect might also be related to laser).

Today was my first day back to work teaching classes.
I'm pretty tired, like a big energy dump. I will wait until later tonight or tomorrow morning to pick my ten finalists and do the drawing for the winner. Well done everybody, I really enjoyed the entries.
 
I assigned numbers to all the entries in order of appearance, gave extras randomly to my top ten, and ended up with 35 total entries.
The random generator picked official entry number 1... Congrats to Dadpool Dadpool ... I will try to get the knife and slip mailed out this weekend if possible.
