Great monthly GAW, John! And this one seems even better to me with the photo participation requirement (not to mention the oak leaf slip and orange SBJr)! 
I already have one of your slips, which sends me to the moon, and beyond!
But, if I may, I'd like to enter this month on behalf of Alan

. Fall means many things to me, mostly positive things, but fall leaves are a mixed blessing. I love the colors, but the leaves fall and I find dealing with those fallen leaves a challenge!

Fall takes awhile to arrive in Florida, but here's a unique twist on the idea, since Fall is also the season of hurricanes--although a hurricane wasn't responsible for this tree's haircut. This limb experienced an early "fall" due to some rotting.

I've been wanting one of

's slips, Halloween is my favorite holiday, and it's my birthday. I am thrilled.
Sometimes things work out kind of magically. It feels like this is why I didn't win any earlier sheaths, because this was the one for me to win.
Thanks to John for his generosity giving away these slips that he has made himself. It really is a great example of why this place is special.
