This one of a kind guardless bowie knife forged by knifemaker John Doyle in 2012. I asked John to make this after meeting him at a knife show where he won some awards. This knife was made very early in his career.

When I reached out to John recently, he provided the following details about this knife. "The blade is forged from 1084 steel and clay quenched and etched to reveal the hamon. The fluted collars and coin-edge accent are made from black g-10. The handle is desert Ironwood burl. There are 4 hidden pins as well as a bolt on the butt end and g-flex epoxy holding it all together."

The sheath was also made by him and is plain brown with no tooling. I wanted it simple. John Doyle's logo is on the back of the sheath.

This has been displayed but never used or sharpened since it came from the maker. Overall length is 15.5 inches. I bought it to use but have only displayed this one.

Not interested in trades. Paypal preferred but open to other options. Asking $950. Open to offers.

New to this forum. Providing a link to photos on Imgur. If that's not kosher, let me know. Images have Gunbroker watermark because I first tried to post this knife there where I already have an established account with ratings. Some of the pictures are the original beauty shots from John. Some are ones I took. Happy to provide additional pictures of the knife as requested.
