Gary, I believe I once owned this sweet bowie. The steel is John's Martian Mozaic damascus. If you look closely, you can see little figures that look like they're dancing around in it. Pretty cool. I even have a blade that I'm working on, that's made of this steel that John gave me to try out. Someday, maybe I'll finish it.

This is a sweet knife, by the way.

I'd would but I'm off to Fairbanks AK for a two week vacation and can't do both.
