What is it?
These swords are built with Dynasty Forge blades. They're "pimped" swords. The pimping work is a collaboration between my brother Rick and myself. He's doing most of the construction/assembly work, and I am doing the final handle shaping and finishing.
These swords are tough and sharp! The balance is slightly different from what a traditional ko-katana would be, since the handle is a wee-bit heavier. The difference is minor, but I find that I actually prefer the heft and balance on these over a traditional sword.
24.75" tip to guard
23.5" edge
35" total length
Guard is heat colored 440c
Blade: Dynasty Forge Ko-Katana 1060 mono steel (bo-hi)
Handle: composite G10/G10 or G10/Carbon Fiber (black center G10 and your choice of scales). The tang extends about 3/4 through the handle frame, similar to a traditional Japanese sword.
