I recently learned that Boker is offering a collaboration John Howser slipjoint. Seems like John was working with Boker on this project when he passed away last year. I just received one and have to say they did a nice job, the collaboration knife reflects John's eye for quality and detail. It's pictured with one of my carbon fiber Howser Trappers

John was one of the best. I have three knives that he
made for me several years ago that I have never
used. They were very special in the materials that
he used. New John for years and I miss hm.

Pretty neat, thanks for sharing.
Will have to check one out somewhere...

Details: this is a 4 1/4" G10 slipjoint with a 3" 440C blade, weighing only 2 oz. Looks nice and clean.

This is a knife I've been seeking for years. I just did a first for me and bought one on impulse. Thanks to ScottK for bringing this to my attention.

Thanks ScottK for pointing this out. John was a very good man, friend & knifemaker . Looks to be a nice knife

I was privileged to be a customer and friend with John Howser for many years and have acquired several of his folders. He is truly missed.

I have been carrying this little Boker Plus John Howser Memory knife for a few days since acquiring it from that big auction place on the web. Yesterday I spoke with a large knife dealer who will be getting the knives in shortly, so I would expect the supply to increase soon. While it's an imported knife, it came out of the box absolutely razor sharp with a strong walk and talk. Of interest is the fact that this knife has inlaid skeletonized stainless liners that have clearance milled for the blades tang (just as John did on his customs) and has a nicely polished (inside and out) backspring with a half stop. There is no play or wiggle in the blade.

They did a nice job on this knife.

I love the clean simplicity of that knife. Modern in materials and construction, but quite traditional in overall feel. What price range is it going for? Not looking for an exact price, just some idea of range. >$50?

I felt this one deserved another shout out. For any who missed the previous thread on the new Howser, you might want to take a look. Finally, a classy production slip joint for the masses made of modern materials. Mine came in a few days ago, and I can't put it down. I have begged a US company for years to make something like this, with a tiny hole of course. Boker stepped up without hearing mtcw.

You won't trade in your OT's or GEC's, but I think you will like this knife. One thing I do know, if Boker starts a series of these....................................

P.S. Sorry I can't do pics. There are good images available.

Glad to hear you're happy :)
We'll be happy as well, as soon as you post pictures ;)
By the way, why didn't you just bump the old thread :p ?
