John Howser Memory Slipjoint

I'm happy to be reminded of this one again. 440C and a nice looking, simple carry.

I'm not sure what "bumping" is/does.

It means to reply to a thread, so that such thread will move UP TO THE TOP of the first page of the forum.
Then, as other threads are replied to, it slowly moves back down the ladder again, to page two, three and so forth.

Did you buy from a BF-endorsed source?

I believe I got mine from the same source as ScottK.

So, does a moderator move the thread back to the top of the page if I just type in "bump to the top", or is some other action required? Does a mod have to approve a bump? How does a bump happen?

The moment you post in an "old" thread, it immediately comes up to the top of the first page...so even adding a few thoughts about the topic (or a picture, for example) "bumps" it up and somehow becomes more visible.
You can just write "bump" and the system will automatically move the thread up...but personally I prefer when someone posts actual thoughts (even if the only intent is moving the thread up).

Yeah, bumping just to bump is usually frowned on.

I see these are available from a couple BF dealers and am thinking of taking the plunge. But just curious whether anyone else has purchased one since the last update here and has any further thoughts. Thanks!

Got it in today. It is very well put together and I am very pleased. Cannt figure out a way to add a picture or I would.

As a registered user, the way to post pictures is to upload them to a web hosting site such as photobucket. Then copy the web address of the picture and paste it into your post. Wrap it in BBS code like this:
