How's it going folks?

Some of you may have already had the pleasure of dealing with John Landi, and (unfortunately) I had waited until recently to do so.

I approached John a few weeks prior to placing my order with some questions about knives and alloys in general. I was trying to piece together an order, and I didn't know what he used, or had on hand. I took this as an opportunity to get to know him a little.

After my curiosity was sated, I sat back to think a bit and in my wait, someone posted the knife I wanted, though I did not know it at the time. It looked a little different than his current models, but that is due to the model that was being sold second hand was an older iteration. This caused some confusion between he and I (due to him not understanding what I was getting at), until I sent him a picture. He just took it in stride, and helped steer me in the right direction.

A few emails later, and I had an order placed.
The knife I ended up receiving was exactly what I had in mind for a daily work back pocket carry.

A PSK Thin in A2 with Black Kydex. Belt loop removed for pocket carry. I wear an XL width glove and it fits my hand fine. As far as the thin handles, they are actually quite comfortable due to the height of the tang and the subtle shaping that has gone into the hande design.
(Blue G10 isn't his only "Thin" option, he has Grey, Black, and one other color that currently slips my mind.)

DMT Diafold for thickness comparison, but measurement wise, it is right around 3/8".

@Landi
John, Thank you for this knife. It has not left my pocket since it landed. As you can see, it has seen regular use, and will continue to do so. It is very comfortable and unobtrusive.

For those that have dealt with John, feel free to share your stories, and post pics of your knives.

I am glad you had a good experience with Landi, but I have to say this:
Unless he has changed his stripes, I would be very hesitant about giving him up front money. He burned me(nothing much $40 or something like that). Never made my knife, promised to pay me back multiple times and never did. Others have had the same experience, though all this was years ago.

That is a pretty cool looking knife

That is unfortunate, and I hope that you are made whole sooner rather than later. It is the principal rather than the amount.
That being said my experience was quite the contrary.

My knife was close to your dollar amount, only $59. And thank you for the compliment.

I bought one of the $59 EDC's a few months ago and it's been my constant weekend and after work carry. Holds a decent edge, ez to tune up on the Work Sharp. Set it up for front "scout" carry with a large tech lock set on a slight upwards angle. The only mods I did was to take a dremel to both sides of the scales on top and create a thumb pocket, much better thumb seat IMO. I would prefer a slightly thicker scale set as I have large hands. The sheath certainly works for it's intended use, no work of art but does the job. Other than that, no complaints and I'm curious what's next in the price point pipeline as I'm a satisfied customer.
