Here's a special folder from John,with gorgeous,full figured & " book matched" ironwood scales . SS pinned & inlaid acorn shield is engraved. SS bolsters are rounded in the front,and beveled. The bolsters are radiused slightly and have a satin finish & very nice engraving,too.The knife measures 4-5/8" closed,a 3-5/8" clip point blade with 3.25" of cutting edge. Opened up it is 8.25" and feels great in your hand. I do have a hand made sheath by Al Dodge if you'd like it,or a leather padded storage case,or both. Other features,ss liners- mill relieved,ss pins. Crescent nail nick,cut in swedge. The blade centers closed & the spring is flush in all half stop positions. The action is a smooth and firm 5+ to 6+ ,it is a snapper,but it really is how you interpret this. To me I like it like this on a big folder. It definitely is not too firm and I don't consider it a " nail breaker" . To me,it is perfect
