Hi - I just joined bladeforums.com. I will soon be liquidating my brother's knife collection as he recently passed away. He has quite a few knives but the two most important ones (in my mind) are his Cooper Knives. My father was into black powder rifles and, was in fact a highly respected builder of muzzleloaders in the 60's-70's. I remember as a yonug teen going with him to visit Mr. Cooper at his shop (this was in So. Cal). Anyway, I would like to get the Cooper knives appraised and am wondering if any of you could recommend someone.

I heard recently that J.N. Cooper made the Bowie knife for the movie "The Iron Mistress" with Alan Ladd. I see some of his knives resemble that knife. It that known to be a fact?
