It's that time of year again, time for all the teachers to start work again after a nice Summer Vacation. To honor this occasion I am giving away a nice Summer Vacation knife. It's a Victorinox Electrician, brand new and never used. I thought as a quasi-collector I needed a SAK, but it never did speak to me so I'm letting it go...

To enter, simply state that you are "IN" and post some outdoor recreation pictures that include a traditional knife. This GAW is open to all regular posters here on the porch and feel free to nominate others if you do not want to win the knife yourself. Those that are nominated will have to verify that they are interested in receiving the knife. Our over-seas members are welcome to enter as long as it is legal for me to ship them this knife. Good luck all.:thumbsup:

I will draw the winner some time this weekend...

Edit:
I'm also adding this Bullet Trapper to the Winner

Nice giveaway. I've got one, so not an entry. It's not a sexy knife, but from a functional standpoint, it's very hard to beat. Bang for the buck, it's unbeatable.

Great GAW - it's been a long time since I posted here... mostly because I'm always carrying ALOX these days, but an Electrician is sadly missing from my accumulation.

Here are a couple - Landi PSK out fishin' for some brown trout on Father's day... I also used this guy to cape/quarter my elk last year, which it did remarkably well for such a small knife!20160619_211906.jpg

Here's a Coghlan's Opinel #7 on a backpacking trip to fish in an alpine lake. I got skunked, but it was a memorable trip!

Great GAW, John. NOT AN ENTRY, though. I won your science fiction GAW a few months ago, and I have been the recipient of great generosity here on the Porch.

You have interesting rules in your GAWs, which generally elicit most interesting posts. Several good entries so far. Will be watching this thread. Good luck, everyone!

The electrician is on my list, so I'm in.

One of my favorite things to do outside that I actually get to do often ( I can step out back whenever I feel like it )
Is shooting one of my traditional or vintage multi stroke pneumatic airguns and these are two of my most recent additions I've been shooting quite a bit recently.

Thanks for the entries guys.:thumbsup:
And to the members just checking in, I appreciate that too.
Others, feel free to share your outdoor pictures even if you're not entering. I really enjoy seeing traditional knives being used in the outdoors.

Nice pictures, especially the bird picture. I've never sailed but my older son absolutely loves it. He learned how in Boy Scouts.

I'm in!! Here is an ironwood Whaler and a fire for smores....

Hers is an older all steel release Whaler ... from the corn maze....

Campfires and Smores, you're speaking my language. :)
I also love the corn maze picture, it reminds me of Fall. Can't wait for the cool weather.:thumbsup:

Fishing! One of my absolute favorite past-times. Sorry you got skunked, but it never detracts from the experience of relaxing in the mountains.:thumbsup:

I enjoy that too. I've done less of it now that my boys have grown up. Maybe I'll get back to it.:thumbsup:

Like I said, one of my favorite outdoor activities is fly fishing. I also mentioned that I love Fall because things start to cool down outside. These two go hand-in-hand as the Fall really lights-up for us fishermen. Cool weather and BIG fish... I can't wait!!!

Find yourself a good vintage pumper off eBay to reseal and I guarantee you'll probably love the relaxing pastime even more than you did before.
