My wife and my daughter went shopping across the border this afternoon and they went by the UPS store to pick up John's package for me.
So I called to check on them ( I mean to check on the package lol ) and my daughter tells me there is TWO knives in the package !!! .... and that she loves the "Brown one"

I had my daughter take pics and text them to me... the brown knife is a Remington r1178 !

Two great knives !!! ... and now I am onto researching and learning about the Remington company

Just before sunset I went outside to take a pic of my boats with the knives.
The red one I build myself 11 years ago for my parents. It's a rowboat for two people, it can also take a very small outboard .
My parents used it a lot on the Rideau Canal between Kingston and Ottawa, now it lives with us and we are sill using a lot on the Saint Lawrence river for rowing ... or if you are lazy like me ... for slow river cruising under power

Aw, that's nothing: I almost cut my fingertip off a couple of months ago!

At least you know it's sharp! My Victorinox knives are sharp. Haven't had to sharpen my Tinker or my Spartan yet. I have sharpened my Classic, but I've had it for many years.

I have a SAK I won on Bladeforums years ago....

It bit me too!!!

You can see right in the blade, how deep it went Into the finger.... made a lovely half moon smear!!
