Johnson Adventure Blades, "Potbelly"

In the beginning Ka-Bar made these blades hollow/saber grind, but later on they changed to flat/saber grind. The one in the OP is the "first hollow grind generation" model.

Say Heah Guys, it still amazes me, when I got my 2Hawks Double Bit Hatchet I wanted a Nessmuk Style Knife, but I didn't find one I liked, the closest to the size I wanted was the Bark River Nessmuk. Then I wanted to give my Rodent Rucki a rest and decided to pick up the Johnson Adventure Parangatang what a great modified Parang, it came very sharp, but I like matching knives, so with a large knife I got a smaller knife which was the Johnson Adventure Potbelly great match with my Top's Mini Scandi Knife a great combo I may add all with the tan color handles. Mine is more of a Saber Grind than a Hollow Grind that alot of people say it is. But the remarkable thing for me, it looks like a Nessmuk Knife on steriods, it does have a Butcher Knife Characteristic, so now I'm holding off buying a Nessmuk Knife and maybe I will order a Custom to my Spec's, but for now the Potbelly is it. Also for the guys that think their BK-2 is a little short, well the Potbelly is it, also I learned something with a curved belly knife, it is a great wood slicer, Yeah I think a curved belly like on a Nessmuk Style Knife slices great, that's something I don't think George Washington Sear's aka Nessmuk knew but did not disclose because he only used his Nessmuk Knife on food prep dressing his game, but since I don't dress game anymore, it does work great on wood. There's no question in my mind that I can use it as a 1knife carry option, but in the Summer I really enjoy this combo as my Parangatang as my Long Knife and my Potbelly as my camp knife that I can also baton with and use it on other camp needs, Yeah it surprised me how close it resembles a Butcher Knife, that was a very popular knife way back when. I hope this helps someone, Yeah I would recommend this knife to everyone.

Any more opinions? I'd be very interested in hearing them and thanks all those who posted their thoughts so far!
Any downsides, failures you have experienced etc.? I have this knife but haven't put it up to the test, and I'd like to know what to expect from it, what to do and not to do, drawbacks it may present...

Thanks guys!

Say Heah Guys, I just got the Potbelly and the Parangatang, both knives complement eachother. Lately I've been learning techniques how to hold a large knife for small carving tasks, I saw a Tribesmen carve a bow with what appeared to be some sort of machete, I also watched how William Collins hold's his knives when carving, both seem to pinch the front close to the edge, that way you have better control, I think I could use the Potbelly as a 1knife carry option. If you look at it, there are charectoristics similar to a Nessmuk on steriods or atleast a little of a Butcher knife, I'm also finding out that a curved belly really carves well. Yeah I have no regrets buying both. All you have to do is practice with it to get the most out of it.

Say Heah Guys, Just one quick point. Guys that wished their BK-2's were just a little longer, well the Potbelly is it. My Potbelly has more of a Saber Grind than a Hollow Grind, if it is a Hollow grind, it's very shallow hollow grind. But tge curved belly makes it a great carver.
