OK, Mr Self,

Lets see if I'm as smart as I think I am.
The knife was made as a prototype for George Industries to demonstrate the proccesses that company does.
I'm thinking it's a form of annodizing, which would start with an A. And if you connect the George name to George of the jungle, that would answer who does the wild thing.
I dont want to limit my guesses to annodizing, though. It would be anything that George Industries does, including Eternagraphix, which would be the method of adherence.
Anyway, if this isnt correct, I'd at least like an E for effort.
Thanks

CONGRADULATIONS WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!!!!!!
The winner is: Royo from Topeka, KS USA
The judges agree that the answer:
ANIMAL WILDLIFE ASSOCIATION is correct.

Review of Clues:

Clue #1: Photograph of knife pictured in a wildlife setting with a camo handle.

Clue #2: You need to talk to Dorothy about this facility: Narrowed location to Kansas.

Clue #3: There are certain materials used in knife making that could cause this company to have a real beef with knife makers. Beef was the clue that it was animals and exotic natural handle materials could have been a problem with a company that is protecting endangered wildlife such as their large herd of black rhino.

Clue #4: Clue for first word: Some have two, come have four but they all produce gas.
Some of the animals have two legs, some are four legged but as we all well know they all have gas from time to time.

Clue #5: First word begins with an A. Can you think of anything that produces gas other than automobiles, airplanes etc. This is really a stinky situation.

Second word: Who out there does the wild thing.

We all know that animals do three things: Eat, Produce gas and reproduce. Wild thing was the clue for wildlife.

Thanks this has been fun but it has worn me out. Knife making is easier. A special thanks to all that participated. We had a great time and we will do it again soon.

What Imaginations !!!!!!!

First-Congrats Royo.

Second-Mr. Self, your rules were "not the name, but what they do".

I guess that on 4/1 my answers (in different posts)of:
conservationists
create wildlife habitat
animal rights group
create wild habitat
something to do with animal rights or protecting cattle
protecting endangered species
environmentalists
3/29:
wildlife preserve
4/7:
animal habitat construction

are all answers that describe what a Animal Wildlife Assoc. does.
True or not?

Sorry for the grapes but some of us worked hard here and you asked for what they do not who they are!

Lifter,

I kinda wondered about that, too. But, we did come away with all the knives that we started with. Although my brain got mad and ran away after my third hour into the contest. Oh well, the darn thing never did work right, anyway. But, it is kinda lonely without all those other voices in here. Uh-Oh! Here they come to give me another shot of Thorazine and rebuckle my sleeves! Time to go to the Magic Kingdom......ohhhhhwe're off to see the wizard.......

Columbo, yes, we came away with the same knives we started with but that is not the point here. The rules stated-not the name of the company, but what they do. I believe I listed what they did.

PS-Royo, I sincerely do hope you enjoy your new knife. I hope my situation doesnt put a damper on it for you as that is definitely not my intention.

Dave
