Joined BladeForums because of HI...been lusting after these blades, recommend 1

Hey WildMike... Many of your posts are what drew me to the M43 so I thank you...would love to hear more about your experiences, especially building trappers cabins with a khukri...
 
Cpl, did you make your baldric and sheath your self or did you have someone else make it?
I am asking because soon enough i will be getting a Kuk of larger proportions and would like something similar to your rig, along with a sheath on the straps for a 337-6 Q or a Cattaraurgus 225 Q as my back up all round camp knife.
Of course I am now also interested in getting a HI survival knife as an additional carry knife ..lol.
If they made one with a pommel cap that was waffled like a framing hammer that you could use to hammer, or take off and still use it like a spear head I would be hooked, and could skip the Quartermaster knife completely.

Anyway, thank you to everyone who posts here. I am better educated and more curious than ever due to your contributions.
 
Just got the triangle box...a horn handled M43 inside...what a beast! Handle feels a little big for my hand but Im sure I will get used to it...took it out to the yard and whacked a log a few times...impressive to say the least.

It was just last week that you were asking for advice on which khukuri to get.
The past few days must have dragged while the M43 was in transit.
