Yesterday at a gun show, I picked up a custom knife made by Jokerst. I found it odd that he is from Omaha Ne. (Across the river from me) (also if you were going to ask on how I know this, it is on the knife under his name)

I was just wondering if anybody has heared this name before. I will try to call him on the phone this week, to get a little more information on this knife.

It is a sub 4 inch fighter with what appears to be a clip point with an un sharpened swedge.

Nope, sorry it is Jokerst, I looked in the phone book, and there are about 8 listings under that last name, I guess that I have 8 phone calls to make.

(I also noticed that the maker also stamps his sheaths that are thick cowhyde.)

Tonight I had the pleasure of talking with the maker. He told me that he quit around 91 or so. Blade steel is either 440 or ATS 34. He has them heat treated to abgout 60 RC.

I will be meeting him this friday to discuss the knife, and some of his other previous projects.

T4,
Was that at age 91, or 1991?

I talked with him last night, and it turns out that it is made out of 440c, at 60RC, Cocobolo handle, nickle silver pins, and red fiber spacers inbetween the handle scales.
