It is a Tibetan made sort of backpack purse combination. You might find a picture if you do a seach on jolas. It is really not such a good method of carrying khukuris.

Sarge here's a pic of one being worn by our favorite Brother and Uncle. It's not a real good pic, but I will see what else I can find.
The disabled forum won't let me do a search in it for some reason, maybe because it's disabled.

Buut SSsarge, jjjuusst think what a fashion statement it would make to your men!!
Oh and Sarge, if you're single... I have a real dear niece in Stockholm that's pretty and very sweet and not terribley young, about 30 something? I could introduce you
Oh, I forgot. Emmia is also a native Swede as well.
I think what Yvsa means is if you do it, you have to go "whole hog" ( all the way ) if you wear the jola. Just attach a couple frogs to the side of the jola to slip the scabbard of a 20"+ khuk into.
( I once saw a pair of really rediculous cowboy boots in black patent leather and laughed my head off. Then as I began to walk away it occurred to me that there'd be no waxing and polishing with them. As it turned out nobody has ever said a word ( to my face, anyway ) about my wearing black patent leather boots; belt; holster; and a nickeled 4" barreled 44 magnum S&W. )
